In 1977 Mining Controls Incorporated began business with one of its core product offerings being an MSHA certified explosion proof headlight. That product evolved into a fully staffed department with many lighting product offerings. Many more certifications have been obtained as well as becoming the industry leader in mining mobile equipment lighting and camera systems.

The lighting division of Mining Controls Incorporated became Elgin Lighting, LLC in 2023, wholly owned by Right Lane Industries. With the opportunity afforded to Elgin Lighting by its new ownership, we have been able to continue to lead the way in mine safety innovation.
